It’s been a while! I’ve been slacking in keeping up with the blogging and reading blogs. but I have a good excuse! I just had a baby! I was just too exhausted at the end to come home from work and get on the computer. I would get home and sit on the couch with my feet up, and then go to bed early! Then once I had her I was too busy to do anything else but take care of her! But now I’m back to work and back to a routine. Well… sort of… we’re moving now! So I’m busy with packing and such. But I am committed to do this blogging thing again and I will get even more into it this time, I promise! I even started up a new blog for this new adventure I’m on, to turn the topics and gear them toward what I’m sure I’ll write the most about… motherhood! Ok  So this is the weirdest thing… I get a text from this number that I don’t know. It happens a lot that I get calls or texts from people I don’t know, that’s not by any means the weird part! Normally I’ll just say, you have the wrong person or something so they know the person they are looking for isn’t going to respond, thier number changed. But I’ve had this number  for almost 2 years now so it doesn’t happen too much anymore. But I got a really weird vibe from this person… heres the text:

Hey sexy thing I see u haven’t texted me like forever

I was thinking of responding with something along the lines of  “probably cuz I dont know you” or something a little meaner of, “she changed her number obviously to get away from you”- but I wasn’t positive it was even a guy, a girl could say sexy thing I suppose…

So, I decide to do a little investigation. I know there’s a reverse lookup website but I couldn’t remember it, so I just typed it into google- my prefered search engine of choice- and guess what comes up… all these myspace pages of 18-20 year olds with messages saying- “thanks for the add text me ***-***-****.” or “thanks for the add hit me up sometime ***-***-****” and the best one… “Why dont you talk to me anymore, hit me up ***-***-****”  And one says his name Mark…So of course I’m curious to see who this person is, he has a myspace, he’s going to have pictures right. I click on the girls page and find the message from him in her comments section and it’s this guy on a dirtbike but you can barely see him. I was half expecting him to be older, but he says he’s 25. But still… 25 talking to 18 yr old girls… and all the “friends” are young girls on his page… creepy. The worst is he has 2 kids 4 yrs old and 1 yr old which he talks about in the info part and has pictures of… possibly to lure the girls in I imagine… and there’s only really one picture of him and his son that shows his face, the rest are of his trucks… and let me tell you… CREP-PY!

And the creepiest part… as I’m looking at his page I get another text… from him asking… U THERE? Ew! I about crawled out of my skin! haha. who texts a 2nd time to someone within minutes, to someone they haven’t talked to in forever, apparently? I felt like he was watching me or something! Gross.

Rabbits are smart creatures. Some people may think differently, but oh, I know so! I have 2 rabbits, inside rabbits, cage and litter trained… for the most part! Bugsy is actually the female and Snowball the male… Yeah the petstores don’t know shit and told us Bugsy was a boy and snowball was a girl, hense the confusing names. We found out when we went to spay and neuter them (cuz seriously who looks down there? lol). But that’s another story for another time….

So Bugsy… good ol Bugsy. She likes to pretend that she isn’t litter trained sometimes. But I noticed she only does it when she’s not very happy. For example, we moved thier cages into the living room to make room in the spare bedroom for company. We put her in the corner next to the couch, against the wall. Well no one can see her back there! She can’t see whats going on either, shes just stuck back there in the corner. She started pee’ing all over her cage. As soon as I figured out that she was mad and moved her cage, she stopped!! She’s done this on more than one occation now for different reasons.

Now she’s doing it again. And in the “play room” where I let them run freely out of thier cage she goes in that litter box no problem! This current time I couldn’t figure out what her problem was for the longest time! But I just figured it out today! I should also mention that my little bunnies are piggys and LOVE to eat! They go crazy when it’s food time…. Well last week I noticed she started going in her litter box again, and I was so happy I thought I finally got thru to her! But this week… at it again. WELL… Last week I got a good thing of lettuce and the leaves were big and full, so thier bowls were fuller, they got more food. This week the lettuce isn’t so good and they have smaller leaves which leaves them with less food! I dont do it on purpose but we’re tight on the food budget so I can’t afford to give them a ton of food all the time! If we have to cut back, so do the bunnies, sorry! haha. Well anyway, that must be the reason! She’s hungrier and madder when she doesn’t get enough food!

The funniest part is (I said they’re smart!) Snowball always drinks more water than Bugsy. Last night their water bottles were over half full, this morning Bugsy’s was almost gone but Snowball had just under 1/2 the water still in the bottle. So she purposely drank a ton of water (possibly to fill her up more? I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt haha) but possibly just to pee more all over the bottom of the cage to make a mess for us to clean up!

I’m no longer Michelle. I’m no longer a person. I’m no longer your friend, your co-worker, your relative. I’m just a science experiment. I’m an incubator of life. I have a person growing inside of me. Once it’s out, maybe I can return to me again. But for now, well, you decide.

I really don’t feel like “me” anymore. Both from how I’m treated, to how I look, to how I feel. People don’t look at me and see Michelle. They look at me and see a belly, a baby, a life. Sure they ask “how are you feeling” but what they really mean is, are you giving this baby a good start, is she going to be ok when she comes out or will there be complications. They don’t look at me and see Michelle, they look at me and say, “WOAH look at that belly, you’re huge!” I look in the mirror and I don’t see Michelle, I see that same huge belly staring back at me. I walk up some stairs, around a store, hell, even just to my car, and I don’t FEEL like me. I’m out of breathe, I’m tired, my back and legs hurt. I’m not me! I’m an incubator of life.

People ask how much sleep I get, what kind of foods I eat, if I have any weird cravings, if she moves a lot, how much weight I’ve gained, etc, etc, etc. See, I’m just everyones little science experiment. They’re testing the waters before they find out for themselves what it’s like.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining at all about being pregnant. I love it. I’m not complaining at all about what I’m going through or the attention I get, I love it. Just pointing out the fact that I just don’t feel like me, and sometimes people don’t treat me like me, like they used to. I’m just a big fat science experiment walking around for all to see!…    

…But I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Ok, so it wasn’t a complete “Fail” but many times this weekend I wanted to shout “FAIL!” (You know, Like the fail blog… check it out if you don’t know what I’m talking about,  it’s so funny).

So First of all, we tried to installed the carseat. Now don’t laugh unless you’ve actually done this yourself. You wouldn’t realize how difficult it is to do this. You want to do it perfect, because your childs life is in danger here if it’s not installed properly. And have you heard the statistics?? it’s like 80% or something of people don’t have it installed properly! Craziness. Such danger for no reason (other than it’s a pain in the ass to be sure it’s right!) So the first FAIL was that my husband, as wonderful as he is, lost the instruction manual!! What?!? so we’re trying to go by the little stickers on the side of the carseat and base. We have the kind with the stay in place base and the carseat that pops in and out of it so you can put the carseat right into the stroller or bring the sleeping kid in witout disturbing them. Well it looked like it was telling you to put the base in with the seatbelt and then after you put the carseat in put the seatbelt on that. um how many seatbelts are in one seat??? Lets do the math here, thats not possible! Apparently those are just two different options I guess… still haven’t figured that part out… So anyway, I try to look up the instruction manualon thier website. Every number I tried (because I wasn’t sure exactly which number was the product number, theres only 100 numbers on the box!!) Well… after every number, the manual for this product is unavailable at this time… FAIL!!

Finally, though, after searching a second time, we found the stupid manual and were able to put it in properly… after another hour or so because it still didn’t make perfect sense! lol.

The 2nd big fail of the weekend was my attempt to make banana bread in muffin tins. I’ve done it before and it’s worked. But usually I’ll do one tin of muffins and the rest in a small bread mold. Well I decided to do only 2 muffin tins, but I had leftovers! And instead of getting rid of it or waiting to do another couple muffins after these were done, I decided to just fill each one a little bit more…. FAIL! It was way too much and overflowed the muffins so they dont have that pretty round top… heres a picture so you can all laugh! haha

So those weren’t the only Fails of the weekend but the others aren’t that exciting so I’ll spare you the details

So… I have to take these iron pills now… and I read to take it with orange juice becuase the citrus helps absorb the iron. However, you can’t take it with milk or dairy because calcium blocks the iron from being absorbed.  So what am I supposed to do if I buy the Orange Juice w/ calcuim because I’m partially lactose intolerant and can’t drink milk??? LOL. Did they think about that? And what happens if I do take it with the calcium filled OJ? (like I just almost did) Does it absorb or block?? It certainly can’t do both can it? I’m so confused!

By- The- Way… I know I don’t always write much, and don’t keep up with this blog as well as I should (Blame it on the tiredness from this pregnancy- hense the iron pills because I found out I’m anemic from what else, the pregnancy- I get a free pass card for everything now, it’s great, it’s always the pregnacy and not me!!) BUT NEWAYS I found this on Ria’s page!

and thought it was 1. a good idea and 2. a really cool pic so I’m stealing it! and 3. I’m very curious to find out who the hell is reading my so uninteresting blog! haha. I know you’re out there, I get lots of views but just don’t know who you are! So Leave Me Some Love Please. I need to know people actually read my stuff and maybe that will motivate me to write more often.  I’ll even make it easy for you and give you an opening, a question to answer to give you something to say… whats something easy… Oh How about you tell me this… what is your favorite food?? Because I’m pregnant and like talking about food. haha

Christmas is my favorite holiday. And no, not only because I get gifts! I do also love giving gifts. But its also more than that too. I think it’s just the spirit of the holiday, and all the lights and decorations. Plus… you really get to celebrate for a whole month! And of course I can’t leave out the Christian aspect of it being the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus! what is greater than that?

But on the gift giving side… I came to a realization today… people’s gifts really reflect their own personalities more than those of who they’re giving the gift to! See, I try to tailor the gift to the person and what they like. A lot of people aren’t like that, they get what suits their taste. I think I’ve known that to a certain extent but it really just hit me today when I’m looking at the baby gifts I got from work associates. (which by the way is it selfish of me to wonder why my Christmas gifts are for the baby? I’m already going to be sacrificing enough here, now I have to sacrifice my own gifts too?? LOL! but honestly, I do think these are great gifts and I’m very greatful for them, as I could probably get more use out of these gifts than whatever they would have gotten for me) But here are the most adorable gifts ever!

J’s favorite brand is Lucky Jeans, so she got this adorable outfit in that brand. The shorts shown from the back because the cute little daisy flowers on the rear pockets. Her  outfit choices are very… high maintenance I guess I would say But she did also get me a really nice necklace and bracelet set for me from Macy’s. (below)

This Dress, I am absolutely in LOVE with! It’s the cutest Ever. And I’m not a “princessey” type person, no rhinestones for me either, but I am IN LOVE!

A is definitely a very Trendy person, one of the most trendy in our office. and she got this from a little fashion boutique.  She actually just won “best dressed” in our fun office awards we all voted on- dont ask why that was a category please… actually it was J’s idea, she INSISTED on the category… (the lucky brand girl… if that explains anything…)

So if that doesn’t prove how people’s personalities effect the gifts they give, I don’t know what does! haha.

Interesting Fact!:

I was just reading the “Maroon & Gold Review” which is the Central Michigan University Alumni newsletter, which I receive. And turns out that the book is actually about the author John Grogan (which if anyone read the book they may know, I have not read it yet but know it’s coming out as a movie this Christmas). And not only is it about this John Grogan guy, but he graduated from CMU in ‘79! And here I thought the only famous people from CMU was the carpenter on the TLC show “Trading Spaces” and “The Little People” star Amy (forgot her last name), which is also on TLC. I mean, I’m sure there are others but I’m not aware of them so this was pretty exciting and interesting news lol. Or maybe I’m just really tired and think it’s more exciting than it is….? HAha

I’m Back from vacation! And what a great vacation it was!!! maybe I’ll write about it sometime this week. I’m catching up on missed blogs and see that my friend Ria “dared” me to do this Irish test, actually she more-or-less demaded that I do it haha.
