I am so glad its Friday! The week actually went by fairly quickly, but its nice to have a weekend!

well my day didnt start off too great… there was an accident so it took a while to get to work, then i realized i forgot my phone when i was going to call work to tell them i was going to be late. i missed a call from my bank, but luckily they were open til 6 so i was able to call her back when i got home. but i also didnt have my camera phone and i didnt have office supplies taken care of for the challenge yet! ah. but i found some packing tape that has a red plastic dispenser sitting on my desk at home. so that works right? lol. tape is an office supply. its really packing tape so its a packing supply technically… but i’m going to make it work because well… i dont have anything else! ha.

I could not find anything interesting today, it was tough. All I have for yellow office supplies is a boring old yellow highlighter…lol and what can i possibly say about a boring old yellow highlighter?? Oh Not Much!… so here are some fun facts you may or may not know about highlighters…

• A highlighter is a form of fiber tip pen which is used to highlight sections of documents in a vivid colour, while leaving the content beneath the marking unobscured. As such, highlighter ink is translucent.
• The first fiber tip pen was invented by Yukio Horie in 1962 in Japan.
• The Avery Dennison Corporation trademarked the name Hi-Liter®, they invented the name highlighter, but they did not invent the pen.
• Modern Artist James Cvetkovski is renowned for his famous works depicting highlighters, such as: Highlighters in Syrup, Fluorescent Happy Brain Surgery and Oh no; I’ve forgotten my Legs Mr Highlighter. (interesting titles! lol)
• On human skin, highlighter ink shows up brightly under a blacklight but is nearly invisible in regular light

So I’m a dumbass and I forgot to do green office supplies at work today… i have a green highlighter, green dry erase markers… and I’m sure I could have found something else green that was somewhat interesting in that supply closet of ours… but I totally forgot. So… what I came up with at home are my colored pencils and a drawing which was as green as I could get! Peter Pan!

I figure I better do the office supplies today because I’m not going to want to talk about work tomorrow night! Once Friday hits I forget about work until Sunday night, thats the plan anyway However… this weekend I get to play make believe. I’m going to make believe I like hanging out with all my office people outside of work, and show a good face at the office BBQ on Saturday… at least its on the beach! Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t like the people I work with, and I get the whole bonding outside of work thing, but enough is enough I see them more than I see my own husband lol. And a lot of ppl are fake and there is nothing I can’t stand more than fake people! And it’s not even free food or anything, I chipped in 5$ per month (past 3 months) to participate in our monthly jeans day to go towards the office fund. And I sure as hell aint going to eat and drink $15 worth of food on Saturday. Ok I’m getting way off subject here… back on track, back on track… office supplies… as you can see my favorite pen is both blue and says Aerotek on it, by the way it writes in black… whowouldvethunk?… Aerotek is the company I work for. It is actually a really good company, I shouldn’t talk ill about it… Ooo do I get bonus points cuz I have blue stickey notes in the shot too? haha jk!
