ever have one of those days where you just feel out of it? you feel constantly tired or confused. you can’t seem to focus. you can’t hold onto anything, you just drop or knock over everything? well, its been like that for me all week! I don’t know whats going on with me. the other morning getting ready for work i just couldn’t hold onto anything, everything I touched dropped. another morning walking into work i just felt weird, just not all there, almost zombie like and I got plenty of sleep so it wasn’t that. and just now i was loading dishes into the dishwasher and just completely knocked a bowl into a glass on the counter and it fell off the counter into the dishwasher! Glass Everywhere! I hope I snap out of it quick!
So… I didn’t realize how long it’s been since i’ve blogged… not that I have been very regular with the blogs lately anyway, but I just haven’t thought about it. I haven’t had the time or the inspiration really. I have kinda of been wrapped up in… someone else’s life, honestly. lol. It sounds so weird to say that, but its true! My friend is going through a rough time and she has really been the only thing on my mind lately. I strategize with, or for, her. I try to be her shoulder to lean on as best I can. If we lived close we’d probably spend a ton of time together too, which is even harder that we can’t! But I just hope and pray that she gets out of this rut soon, and unscathed. I know she will though, I have faith in that. She is a strong woman and I know she can make it if she tries
lets just hope this works itself out sooner rather than later for her sake! But I will be here for as long as it takes!
so that’s where I’ve been! Maybe something more interesting in my life will come up for me to think about blogging about
I do have a book review i’ve been wanting to write, but I knew one of my readers was going to be reading it, so I didn’t want to give anything away!! I will write that one soon because I think she’s done with it or will be soon.

Your Turn!

So my hubby is leaving for me a week… well almost a week. It’s a “guys trip.” Two of his friends just flew in today and they’re going to go to Key West. I’m kinda jealous cuz I really want to go there! I’ve only been to Key Largo, we didn’t go any further. Then they’re going to Orlando. I think they’re going to Adventure Island but not sure which park. Then on the way back as long as it isn’t stormy, which it might be, they will stop somewhere in between Orlando and here and go golfing. Sounds like a good time. But It’s going to be weird having the place to myself. Coming home from work to a quiet house is the norm since I usually get home first, but then when it stays quiet… I’m going to go crazy. I’ll have to leave the tv on 24/7 for background noise or something haha. I have nothing planned out either, other than a lunch with a friend on Saturday. I need to find something to do… But I am pretty stoked about having the quiet time and time to relax. Even though I am somewhat relaxed still from my “girls trip” I just got back from on Sunday. We had the best time in Northern Michigan! AHHH HOME! I really felt like I was home when we were driving farther and farther north, even though I’ve never lived that far north. But it just has this calming effect and welcomes you in to the beauty of the nature and the land. Here are a pics of my trip!
Sunrise over lake Huron…
Overlook of the treetops…
During our Morning stroll on the beach…
The start of a trail we used to hike, had to do it one more time for good measure… (i can’t believe we actually found it again)
And the best for last… the true meaning of FRIENDSHIP
So last night I finally finished the book I’ve been reading, seems like for forever. I don’t read very fast, or very often, so it takes a while to finish one book.
Bitter is the New Black is a true story, and even though it says “memoir” on the front, I didn’t really realize it until I saw her website. I was almost finished with the book when I saw her website. It talked about her 2 dogs by name and I said, Hm… thats what she named the dogs in the book. Then I saw her husbands name, Fletch, definitely an odd name- couldn’t be a coincidence- haha. Well this book was alright, didn’t strike me as the “BEST BOOK EVER” feeling, I was left with an, “EH” feeling. It was good, don’t get me wrong. And it’s definitely an admirable transformation by Jen, you have to give that to her. She went though a huge change. She started off as a snobby “rich bitch.” Once she lost her very well-to-do job and was unemployed for so long she started changing little by little and was humbled by the experience. By the end…cue the fairy tail music. *raising one eyebrow*. I’m happy and all for her, but I guess I didn’t expect, or want, it to end happily. Sometimes people deserve whats coming to them, and most of the time, in real life, people don’t learn hard lessons and stick to being “good.”
And I’m not one for dwelling on differences, even jokingly being sarcastic of ones own faults. She made too big of a deal about being overweight, in my opinion. I mean, I guess it did play a big role in her life and the way people treated her, but come on, enough is enough. lol, if that doesn’t sound insensitive I don’t know what does, but I just don’t like people playing the “Oh Woah Is Me” card and getting pity for something like that.
And the end was kind of choppy for me… She was babysitting for her nieces and nephews and came to the realization that they now like her because they actually know her. She has time to visit with them now that she’s not working 24/7. Now that is a good realization and would have been a good ending. Then she goes to her friends wedding and sounds Super Annoying, pretending it was her wedding since she couldn’t mingle with everyone at her own because she was so busy with pictures and this and that and she got completely hammered and then made an annoying drunk phonecall to a friend. Learn anything there… I think not. that part could have been left out and it would have been much better, it was like she was just trying to fill space like it had to be so many pages long or something and she wasn’t quite there. Then the ending was back to the transformation, she went to get her hair done and the hair stylist remembered her… 2 years later *roll eyes*… and remembered how she was always carrying shopping bags with her and pointed out how she always got her nails done and spa treatments, but she only wanted her hair colored and stuck to that. Which is good, good for her for finally learning to splurge less. Then the epilogue i just skimmed through, didn’t interest me haha. so it was pretty choppy at the end which left me with an EH feeling.
